Located just minutes from historic downtown Lexington, VA, Lime Kiln Theater was established as a non-profit arts organization in 1984. The theater is located on the 12-acre site of a 19th-century lime kiln and quarry. Lime Kiln currently hosts a popular summer concert series, as well as plays, private events, and community festivals.
During its revival over the past five years, Lime Kiln Theater has enjoyed extensive upgrades and infrastructure improvements, making it one of the area's most prized performance venues – and an ideal space for your next private event!

The venue provides parking for up to 300 cars, bathroom facilities, electrical hookups throughout most of the site, and four different event spaces. Our flexibility with different configurations allows capacities ranging from small parties up to events with 1,000 guests. As of 2018, the theater also has a 40' x 160' tent on-site with a 24' x 40' stage, lighting, and electrical hookups.
