Spencer McElroyExecutive Director
Spencer has served as Lime Kiln Theater's Executive Director since its rebirth in 2013 and is a 2009 graduate in Physics from Washington and Lee University. He has been active in the music business as a promoter since his early days in college, co-founding Elysian Fields Music Festival in 2008. Along with his work in the music business, Spencer is active in real estate development in Lexington and serves on the Advisory Board for a shipping company in Houston. Above all, Spencer enjoys playing guitar, and is occasionally a special guest at Lime Kiln shows. |
Stephanie RiChardePresident
Stephanie is a native of Lexington and a second-generation Lime Kiln board member, who has been volunteering at Lime Kiln since she was seven years old. She is an Assistant Professor of Psychological Science at the University of Lynchburg, and she has previously taught at Virginia Military Institute and Southern Virginia University. Stephanie has been a part of the board since November 2015, with roles ranging from operations committee chair to volunteer coordinator. She has also recently served as the Secretary of Lime Kiln. |
Brian DearingVice President
Brian serves as the Vice President of Lime Kiln Theater, after spending two years as President of the board. He has over 20 years of experience providing leadership and consistent direction in fast-growing, quick-reaction business environments. His sharp focus on market share, profitability, and operations have brought significant growth and improved strategic position to every organization with which he has been associated, and he applies that experience to Lime Kiln Theater. Brian’s consistent efforts in growing market share, in both existing and new markets, help guide Lime Kiln Theater to continued growth and stability. |
Jeremy FranklinSecretary
Jeremy serves as Secretary of Lime Kiln Theater and chairs the marketing committee. He is the general manager of WLUR and sports broadcasting at Washington and Lee. A 2004 W&L graduate, he is the lead play-by-play announcer for W&L sports and the host of several music programs on WLUR; he's also been a freelance writer for The News-Gazette since 2007. Jeremy joined the Lime Kiln board in November 2015. |
Tom CapitoTreasurer
Tom serves as Treasurer for Lime Kiln Theater. He was born in Lexington but lived most of his life in New Jersey. Tom and his wife Holly moved back home 10 years ago. He works in ITS at Washington and Lee and sells real estate for J.F. Brown Real Estate. As a lover of the outdoors and live music, Lime Kiln is a special place for him. A longtime volunteer firefighter and EMT, Tom joined the board in January 2019 and looks forward to his continued involvement with Lime Kiln. |
Mike StolarzBoard Member
Mike served as the President of Lime Kiln during the first three years of our revival and as Vice President for the following two years. He continues to enjoy being part of the team that brought the theater back to life. Mike and his family have lived in Lexington for the past 20 years. He enjoys the outdoors, sailing, and playing music with Virginia's own Scuffletown. Mike serves as Director at Dynovis Inc. and enjoys applying those skills to the betterment of Lime Kiln and our community. |
Natalie GarvisBoard Member
Natalie has volunteered with many local not-for-profit agencies in Rockbridge County and served as coach /organizer for youth sports including tennis and lacrosse. Besides golf, Lime Kiln is Natalie’s favorite summer get-away in Lexington. She recently retired as the Associate Controller at Washington and Lee University, and previously served as the Treasurer of Lime Kiln. |
Chuck BargerBoard Member
Chuck is a native of Rockbridge County and has been president of Charles W. Barger and Son since 1984. He has served on many for-profit and non-profit boards in the Rockbridge area, garnering a multitude of awards and honors. He is currently the Chair of Virginia Transportation Construction Alliance Aggregate Producers and Chair of the Rockbridge Tourism Corridor Board. |
Gene McCabeBoard Member
Gene is starting his 12th season as the Head Men's Lacrosse Coach at Washington and Lee University. He was also recently appointed as the president of the United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association (USILA). Additionally, Gene is the sole proprietor of Play Great Lacrosse LLC, a lacrosse camp company primarily operating in Lexington. |
Ryan BrinkBoard Member
Ryan is new to the Lime Kiln board. He has served for years as a regular FOLK and as a member of the operations committee. Ryan currently works as the Campus Kitchen Coordinator in The Shepherd Poverty Program at Washington and Lee University. In his free time, Ryan enjoys painting, hiking, and running. |
Kelly NyeBoard Member
Kelly grew up in Lexington has been attending Lime Kiln events since she was four years old, when her mother sang in the chorus for Stonewall Country. She is the Multimedia Coordinator for Virginia Military Institute's Communications and Marketing department, and has volunteered as a photographer for Lime Kiln since 2016. Kelly joined the board in 2019 and serves on the marketing committee. |
