Dear Lime Kiln Supporters,
On behalf of Lime Kiln Theater’s Board of Directors, I would like to express my sincere gratitude to the community for the outpouring of support that has helped restore Lime Kiln as a cornerstone of the Shenandoah Valley performing arts and music scene. This local treasure has been an integral part of our community’s fabric for nearly three decades, and sadly shut its doors in 2012. Through hundreds of volunteer hours, collective perseverance, and a sustainable operating model, we have not only resurrected Lime Kiln, but have achieved success beyond all expectations. Both the 2014 and 2015 seasons were profitable, with nearly 10,000 guests, 12 sold out shows, and zero fundraisers. Our marketing reports document that 48% of all tickets sold from outside the Rockbridge area, proving a strong regional interest and unquestionable benefits to our local economy.
I would like to take this opportunity to sincerely thank our local carpenters, timber framers, electricians, plumbers, musicians, architects, restaurants, sponsors, donors, volunteers, and the many others who have helped turn our dream into a reality.
We hope to continue enjoying the community’s support, and encourage you to attend our 2016 events. For those of you who wish to support Lime Kiln further, you can visit our website to donate. Please note that 100% of donations are invested into Lime Kiln’s infrastructure, through maintenance and improvements, and that your contributions support a healthy, growing organization with proven success and an exciting future.
Thank You,
Spencer McElroy
